Baseball Recap: Newark Academy Takes a Loss

Newark Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Hanover Park Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Minutemen of the 10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Newark Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Sampson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Newark Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Hanover Park, they now have a winning record of 10-9-1.

As of now, neither Newark Academy nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
