Basketball Recap: Harvest Prep Warriors vs. Lutheran West Longhorns

If Harvest Prep was riding high fresh off their 79-48 takedown of Patriot Prep Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Harvest Prep Warriors were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 69-68 to the Lutheran West Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Longhorns are ranked 25th).

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Khalil Daniels, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. What's more, Daniels also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Ephraim Campbell was another key player, going 8 for 9 en route to 16 points and seven boards.

As for Lutheran West, they will venture away from home to challenge Richmond Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
