Ballard entered their tilt with Talawanda on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Brave. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Emery Schuster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schuster was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Payton Downey and Aubrie Newton did most of the damage at the plate: Downey scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Newton scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Downey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooke Bond, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Ballard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 6-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Ballard now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Talawanda, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Ballard wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Greenup County on the 2nd. As for Talawanda, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-6 loss against Oldham County on the 2nd.
