Basketball Game Preview: Union County Fightin' Tigers vs. Hope Christian Academy Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Union County Fightin' Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Hope Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Union County has three straight wins, Hope Christian Academy has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Union County was able to grind out a solid victory over West Nassau, taking the game 41-28.

Meanwhile, Hope Christian Academy was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 33-32 to Northside Christian Academy. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Northside Christian Academy 11-6 in the first quarter.

Union County will have to contain Addyson Wilson as she made an impact in Hope Christian Academy's last game. She went 9 of 16 on her way to 21 points and six steals. That was a full 65.6% of Hope Christian Academy's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Aubriana Clark was another key player, putting up seven points.

Hope Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Union County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season.
