            Basketball Recap: Windsor Warriors vs. Glastonbury Guardians        
        
		
        
        
            On Wednesday, Windsor faced Glastonbury in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Windsor Warriors took  a  91-82 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glastonbury Guardians. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Guardians apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in January of 2022.
 It was another big night for  David Smith, who  dropped  a double-double with 51 points and 11  rebounds for Glastonbury. Smith is  crushing it when it comes to  points: he's   scored at least 15 every time he's  taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was  Mike Carroll, who  dropped  a double-double with 16 points and 11  boards.
Windsor has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matchups,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record  this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 80.5 points over those games. As for Glastonbury,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 16-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor will head out to  take on Bishop Hendricken  at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Glastonbury, they will venture away from home to  square off against East Catholic  at 6:45  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (East Catholic has won three straight at home, while Glastonbury won ten straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
