Soccer Recap: Garces Memorial Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Garces Memorial can now relate to. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Hanford Bullpups who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Hanford Bullpups got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Garces Memorial Rams' two. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 853rd, while the Bullpups are ranked 242nd).

Garces Memorial dropped their record down to 6-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hanford, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Garces Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hanford, they have already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Torres on the 18th.
