Basketball Recap: Muncie Central Takes a Loss

Muncie Central entered their game against Lafayette Jefferson on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Muncie Central Bearcats were dealt a 62-23 defeat at the hands of the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos. The Bearcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Muncie Central's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-8. As for Lafayette Jefferson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Muncie Central will head out to challenge Monroe Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they will head out on the road to face off against Benton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Benton Central likes a good challenge.
