Walton took a seven-run  loss the last time they faced off against South Walton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Braves had just enough and edged out the Seahawks  2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Braves have posted  since April 15, 2024.
 Raina Pitts made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Pitts was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and one  RBI. That's the most  doubles  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 Pitts wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Chloe Bendure, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple and one  run. That  triple marked the first that  Bendure  hit this season.
Walton's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for South Walton, they now  have a losing record of 7-8.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walton will face off against Cottondale at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.5  runs per game this season. As for South Walton, they will square off against Holmes County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
