Softball Recap: Peninsula Drops Highest Score of Season Against North

There's no place like home for Peninsula, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the North Saxons 7-6. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Audrina Gamez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024.

The victory snapped Peninsula's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record. As for North, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Peninsula has already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Hart on the 22nd. As for North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Palos Verdes on the 19th.
