Basketball Recap: Waterford Takes a Loss

Waterford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 48-24 to the Union Grove Broncos. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashley Lamers, who posted 13 points and eight boards. Lamers has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Camryn Smith was another key player, putting up seven points and seven steals.

Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Union Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season.

Waterford has already played their next matchup (against Westosha Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Union Grove also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Beloit Memorial.
