South Putnam and Brown County are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. South Putnam will venture away from home to face off against Brown County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for South Putnam and 17 for Brown County dating back to last season.

South Putnam lost 14-7 to Riverton Parke on Friday.

Wyatt Mullin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Hayden Tincher, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Brown County's offense. They came up short against West Vigo on Tuesday, falling 10-0.

Brown County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jade Woolems, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. Woolems has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

South Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Brown County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

South Putnam couldn't quite finish off Brown County when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can South Putnam avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
