Baseball Recap: Citronelle Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Citronelle was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell 5-1 to the Mobile Christian Leopards. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Leopards: they've now lost five in a row.

Citronelle got a good showing from Noah Perkins, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those zero earned runs gave Perkins a new career-low.

Citronelle's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Mobile Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-18.

While Citronelle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
