Baseball Recap: Etiwanda Eagles vs. Gahr Gladiators
With a playoff win on the line, Etiwanda rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Gahr Gladiators by a score of 6-1. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Etiwanda got a great performance from Nico Hamilton as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, Hamilton posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.
On the hitting side, Angel Mejia was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Severns, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.
Etiwanda pushed their record up to 16-12-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Gahr, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-13 record this season.
Etiwanda will challenge Servite at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.5, the Friars 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Gahr does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
