North Shore is 7-1 against Malverne since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Mules. Malverne took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on North Shore, who comes in off a win.

North Shore will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points on September 6th, then bounced right back against Lawrence two weeks ago. The Vikings blew past the Golden Tornadoes 34-14. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Golden Tornadoes are ranked 527th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Malverne was not quite West Hempstead's equal in the second half on Saturday. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

The victory got North Shore back to even at 1-1. As for Malverne, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

North Shore didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Malverne in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 27-21 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Mules have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
