Volleyball Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Takes a Loss

Saint Ignatius College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Saint Ignatius College Prep sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 23-25, 25-19.

Remien Mark paced Saint Ignatius College Prep's offense, picking up ten kills. Mark got some help from Campbell Hahn and his 19 assists.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Riverside-Brookfield, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Saint Ignatius College Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against St. Rita on the 1st. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln-Way East at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
