Pocono Mountain East won the last time they faced Pocono Mountain West and things went their way on Friday too. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Panthers 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Pocono Mountain East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 21-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Pocono Mountain West had strong showings from Kaya Kaczmarek, who had 19 digs and one assist, and Cayleigh Keller, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Pocono Mountain East now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Pocono Mountain West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Pocono Mountain East will challenge Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pocono Mountain West, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Lehighton on the 20th.
