Baseball Game Preview: Patrick Henry Patriots vs. Scripps Ranch Falcons

For the second straight game, Patrick Henry will face off against Scripps Ranch. The Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Patrick Henry has three straight wins, Scripps Ranch has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Scripps Ranch's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Patrick Henry hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Patriots never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Monday.

Cody Cappelletti made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Alex Mestman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Ian Brooke was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Patrick Henry's win bumped their record up to 16-8-2. As for Scripps Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 6-20.

Scripps Ranch's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Patrick Henry has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game.
