Hartselle entered their tilt with Athens on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Golden Eagles 3-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory on September 9th.

While Hartselle won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

Leading Hartselle to victory were Taylor Reaviel and Baylie Singleton. Reaviel had eight digs and two aces, while Singleton had six digs. That's the most aces Reaviel has posted over her last seven contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Hartselle was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matchups.

Hartselle's win bumped their record up to 28-10. As for Athens, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-16.

Coincidentally, Hartselle and Athens will both be playing Arab the next time they take the court. The Golden Eagles will host the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
