Basketball Recap: Alto Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Alto's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lovelady Lions by a score of 68-57. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 628th, while the Lions are ranked 1259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alto's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Lovelady, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Alto will venture away from home to take on Grapeland at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for Lovelady, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-34 victory against Caldwell on the 12th.
