The Zeeland East Chix were not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 52-33 bruising from Jenison. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Zeeland East of the 41-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Zeeland East's loss came despite strong showings from Mirra Fenlon and Lizzie Risdon. Fenlon scored 16 points, while Risdon scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Zeeland East's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Jenison, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-16.
