Softball Recap: General McLane Lancers vs. Meadville Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Harbor Creek, General McLane was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 win over the Meadville Bulldogs. With that victory, the Lancers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Kylie Fleek was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, General McLane got a big performance out of Kara Zameroski, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tori Reynolds, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
General McLane kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
General McLane is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season.
