Soccer Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for York

It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but York ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the York Prep Patriots 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Cesar Mendoza was the driving force of York's attack as he scored both of York's goals, bringing his season total up to ten goals.

York pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for York Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York will head out to take on Dreher at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for York Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Buford at 7:00 p.m. on April 8.
