Basketball Recap: Cahokia Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Corrion Raiford and C'narri Griffin

Cahokia lost against Springfield back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Comanches fell 67-62 to the Senators. The Comanches have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

C'narri Griffin and Corrion Raiford certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Griffin shot 54% from the field to rack up 18 points and four steals, while Raiford dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. Griffin is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Douglas Edwards III was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Cahokia now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Springfield, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cahokia will challenge Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springfield, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Edwardsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
