Basketball Recap: Verndale Takes a Loss

Verndale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Nevis Tigers 76-40. The Pirates lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in March of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 50-42 score last time.

Verndale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Nevis, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

As of now, neither Verndale nor Nevis have any future games scheduled.
