After a string of 11 wins, Florence's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Valley Christian Trojans. The shutout was out of character for the Gophers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-8.

Florence's loss dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Florence and Valley Christian will both be playing Seton Catholic the next time they take the court. The Gophers will host the Sentinels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
