Basketball Recap: Kemper County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Noxubee County last Saturday, Kemper County came back down to earth. The Kemper County Wildcats fell just short of the Newton Tigers by a score of 50-48 on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Kemper County's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Newton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Kemper County will be home for the holidays to greet Northeast Lauderdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
