Basketball Recap: Lake View Comes Up Short

After soaring to 83 points the game before, Lake View was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were dealt a 57-29 loss at the hands of the V.R. Eaton Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 860th, while the Eagles are ranked 121st).

Several Chiefs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braylon White, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trace Woods, who put up five points.

Lake View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for V.R. Eaton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Lake View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-45 loss against El Paso on the 5th. As for V.R. Eaton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-28 victory against Del Valle on the 5th.
