Softball Recap: San Leandro Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

San Leandro put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Oakland Wildcats by a score of 4-1.

The team relied heavily on Marley Santos, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Orta, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

San Leandro's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Oakland, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Leandro will host Kimball at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Kimball: 3.7, San Leandro: 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Oakland will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oakland Tech at 4:00 p.m. on April 10th.
