Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windber). They came out on top against the Blacklick Valley Vikings by a score of 63-52 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Ramblers considering their 20-point performance the match before.

Windber's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylie Gaye, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Angel James, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kristin Szymusiak, who went 5-for-12 en route to 19 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. That was a full 36.5% of Blacklick Valley's points, marking the fourth time in a row Szymusiak has posted more than a third of the team's points. Averi Yewcic was another key player, putting up seven points.

Windber is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points over those games. Blacklick Valley suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 19-2.

Windber didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-36 loss against Conemaugh Township on the 11th. As for Blacklick Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-32 victory against Conemaugh Valley on the 10th.
