Soccer Recap: Poquoson Takes Down Riverheads in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Poquoson rose to the challenge on Monday. They never let the Riverheads Gladiators get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Poquoson sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Katie Weiss, which was the first she's scored this season.

Poquoson pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five matchups. As for Riverheads, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1.

As of now, neither Poquoson nor the Gladiators have any future games scheduled.
