Soccer Game Preview: Seaforth vs. Middle Creek

The Seaforth Hawks will challenge the Middle Creek Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Seaforth knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Middle Creek likes a good challenge.

Seaforth barely beat Orange the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 4-1 victory on Wednesday. Considering Seaforth have won eight games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sofia Viana and Caitlin Erman scored all four of Seaforth's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 51 goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Middle Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Panther Creek 3-2. The win continues a trend for Middle Creek in their matchups with Panther Creek: they've now won seven in a row.

Seaforth pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six contests. As for Middle Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Seaforth might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Middle Creek when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
