Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Crusaders vs. Frontier Cougars

The Catholic Central Crusaders waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They had just enough and edged Frontier out 33-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Catholic Central also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Camden Bradley was the offensive standout of the game as he scored seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Tommy Pergi, who scored four points.

Frontier's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Avery Powell, who scored 13 points, and True King who scored six points along with five rebounds and five blocks. That was a full 43.3% of Frontier's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Catholic Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Frontier, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Catholic Central will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frontier, they and the Blue Dons will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Madonna is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.
