McClave put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Manzanola Bobcats get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 on Friday.

Drew Howe made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Howe was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, McClave got a massive performance out of Ryan Steinbrunn, who scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. With that strong performance, Steinbrunn is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Lawton Annen, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

McClave always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .824. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

McClave's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Manzanola, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

McClave has already played their next matchup, a 10-5 win against Springfield on the 31st. As for Manzanola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 22-5 loss against Holly on the 1st.
