Spanish Springs faced Carson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Senators. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Hannah Fitzpatrick tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March.
