Softball Recap: Central Wise Wins Going Away Against Cloudland

Central Wise had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Cloudland on Friday. Central Wise put the hurt on Cloudland with a sharp 17-1 victory. The Warriors not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22, 2024.

Central Wise got a massive performance out of Adele Dingus, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, Dingus posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chloe Wells, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Central Wise's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Cloudland, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, Central Wise will take on Greenbrier at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cloudland, they will challenge Halls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Halls' pitching crew has only allowed 0.8 runs per game this season, so Cloudland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
