It was a proper cat-fight when Gross Catholic duked it out with Louisville on Saturday. The Gross Catholic Cougars enjoyed a cozy 61-46 victory over the Louisville Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jase Ostblom, who posted 11 points. Alex Sorensen was another key player, putting up nine points.

Gross Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Louisville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, Gross Catholic is taking a road trip to challenge Bennington on Thursday. Bennington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.9 points per game this season. As for Louisville, they have already played their next game, a 61-57 victory against Raymond Central on the 11th.
