Softball Recap: Twin River Titans vs. Ord Chanticleers
There's no place like home for Twin River, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 18-10 margin over the Ord Chanticleers on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Marcie Spitz made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Twin River got a massive performance out of Emily Dohmen, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was JLee Van Driel, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
