Volleyball Recap: Arvada Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Arvada entered their tilt with Englewood on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 3-1. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Arvada had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17.

Lilly Rice paced Arvada's offense, picking up eight kills. Rice were helped by Lily Heck and Maggie Martinez, who contributed seven assists each. Rice was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

The victory got Arvada back to even at 6-6. As for Englewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Coming up, Arvada will challenge Arrupe Jesuit at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Englewood, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Sheridan on the 25th.
