Preview: Bernstein vs. Bassett
Bassett will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Bernstein in at 4:00 PM. Bassett will be strutting in after a win while Bernstein will be stumbling in from a loss.
Bassett had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past North Hollywood with a 26-21 victory.
Meanwhile,, Bernstein couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-32 walloping at Eastside hands. The game was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but Bernstein was outplayed in the second half.
Bernstein's defeat took them down to 0-1 while Bassett's triumph pulled them up to write [team] current record. A win for Bernstein would reverse both their bad luck and Bassett's good luck. We'll see if Bernstein manages to pull off that tough task or if Bassett keeps their momentum going instead.
