Football Recap: Fair Grove Skates Past Hollister with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fair Grove). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hollister Tigers 48-0. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Tigers are ranked 229th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Fair Grove and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points in those games. As for Hollister, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fair Grove will take on rival Clever at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th. Meanwhile, Hollister is set to square off against their familiar foe Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
