Southwest is a perfect 3-0 against Hialeah-Miami Lakes since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Southwest Eagles will take on the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Southwest lost 19-12 to TERRA Environmental on Monday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with TERRA Environmental recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Sofia Valdes was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Sannaya Pardey was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hialeah-Miami Lakes). They were the clear victor by a 17-1 margin over Northwestern on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Bulls: they've now won nine in a row.

Diana Orellana was a standout: she scored two runs while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes' win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Southwest took their victory against Hialeah-Miami Lakes in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 17-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southwest since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
