Muleshoe proved they can win big  last Tuesday (they won by 13) and  on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Littlefield Wildcats  7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Mules have posted  since April 27, 2024.
The team  relied heavily on  Addilene Blanco, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Heaven McMullen, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Muleshoe was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. They are  a perfect 12-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Muleshoe has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record  this season. Littlefield's loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
 Coming up, Muleshoe will be playing in front of their home fans against Slaton  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Slaton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1  runs per game  this season. As for Littlefield, they will venture away from home to  take on Roosevelt  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Roosevelt has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.89  runs per game on average), something Littlefield will no doubt try to take advantage of.
