Softball Recap: Seymour Takes a Loss

Seymour lost against Eagleton College & Career Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell 7-3 to the Royals. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Makenna Wright was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Wright was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Wright wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Haylei Tawzer, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their win bumped their record up to 17-13-1.

As of now, neither Seymour nor the Royals have any future games scheduled.
