            Football Recap: Harvey Red Raiders vs. Lutheran West Longhorns        
        
		
        
        
            Harvey was handed a heart-breaking three-point  defeat in their last  matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lutheran West  on Friday. The Red Raiders breezed past the Longhorns to the tune of  60-22. That's more bragging rights for the Red Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Harvey's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Shahn Alston led the charge by rushing for 261 yards and three  TDs on only 13 carries, while also picking up 36 receiving yards. Alston really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 90-yard run.  Markese Wise was another key passer, throwing for 220 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Harvey was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 380  rushing yards. They are 4-2 when  they've run for more than 200 yards.

 Harvey didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Ethen Eudell and  Jeremiah Rowdy. Rowdy has been hot for a while, having also posted six or more  total tackles the last 18 times he's  played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
The  win  got Harvey back to even at 5-5. As for Lutheran West,  they are  on  a  13-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
As of now, neither Harvey nor the Longhorns have any future games scheduled.
