Volleyball Recap: Canby Lancers vs. Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles
With a playoff game on the line, Canby rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-11, 26-24.
Emily Nelson paced Canby's offense, picking up 11 kills. Nelson really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 20. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with
Grace Hansen, racking up three apiece.
Canby pushed their record up to 24-6 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lac qui Parle Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-16.
