Basketball Recap: Nowata Gets the Win

Nowata proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 25) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mannford Pirates 57-54. For the Ironmen, this counts as revenge for the 62-32 victory the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Nowata's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mannford, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Nowata will host Chelsea at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mannford, they will face off against Rejoice Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
