Volleyball Recap: Johns Creek Takes a Loss

Johns Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Buford Wolves. The Gladiators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

While Johns Creek ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20.

Sara Buoni paced Johns Creek's offense, picking up five kills. Buoni got some help from Adonia Haile and her ten assists. Buoni was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Johns Creek now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Buford, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Johns Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Dawson County on the 23rd. As for Buford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Christian Academy of Knoxville on the 22nd.
