Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Pocatello + Official Tickets

The Hillcrest Knights will square off against the Pocatello Thunder at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hillcrest heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Moscow who was credited with the win. The Bears got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Hillcrest's three. The loss was Hillcrest's first of the season.

Pocatello is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Vallivue just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Pocatello's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Hillcrest, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 18-1-1.

Hillcrest was able to grind out a solid victory over Pocatello when the teams last played on October 3rd, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
