Baseball Recap: Norrix Has No Trouble Against Portage Northern

Norrix hadn't done well against Portage Northern recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Huskies. The Knights not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26th (when they won 10-0).

Not much got past Sam Oberlee, who gave up just four hits to keep Portage Northern off the board. Oberlee has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaylin Wells was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trey Iocca, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Norrix's win bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Portage Northern, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-19-1.

Norrix will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Huskies: the pair will be back at it again later today.
