Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mesa Verde). Everything went their way against the Golden Sierra Grizzlies on Tuesday as the Mesa Verde Mavericks made off with an 11-0 victory. It was an even better day for Alejandro Monroy as he scored three goals for his team.

Mesa Verde used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Golden Sierra. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Monroy, Eddie Montepeque, and Isaac Mendoza. The new lineup might be seeing more playing time going forward considering the group combined for a total of five goals.

Mesa Verde has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those five matches. As for Golden Sierra, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.
